Why is there so much criticism in this world? This opens a sweet, funny film that the opportunity for many places in Greece that are not filmed, for commercial reasons, can not see. Congratulations to Nia for obtaining permission to film as fantastic places such as Delphi, Olympia and the Acropolis. This film is perfect for a light, summer or if you need a pick ‘Me Up “. See for yourself. Greece is a magical place and it was a pleasure to see on the big screen. Nia is charming and off the screen and I think it’s great. You go girl!

The 2009 version, “My Life in Ruins” has proved a totally unexpected surprise. The landscape is beautiful, the plot and the dialogue lively and eccentric cast of characters remain single, carefully maintained from beginning to end. The budding romance between a guide Nico Georgia (Nia Vardalos) and bus drivers (Alistair McGowan) was really charming and tourism and self-proclaimed funny man Irv (Richard Dreyfuss) is clearly the secret ingredient that did all the work so well.
I especially liked how the movie incorporated a subtext running suggesting that the Greek gods can subtly interact with tour operators and tourists. It was just the right touch of playfulness and depth, give an extra dimension to this charming romantic comedy.

I saw this film a few weeks in theaters. I found it very entertaining and informative. He took me to places in Greece, I would like to visit. Nia is fun, sexy and believable. In 2000 I went on a tourist bus tour through Europe and this film certainly has a lot of good memories. Each tour includes many buses each character with a credible love story This makes it very entertaining. I recommended this film to all my friends. You must possess. The filming is exquisite shows the sites of Greece as a travel report. I left the theater, I felt entertained.

My wife and I missed that great movie when it was released in theaters in 2009 – probably because they do not have a huge promotion budget in comparison with high-tech blockbusters – but we caught by chance on a flight back to Europe this summer, and I immediately ordered the DVD. With a team of international talent, including Richard Dreyfuss, this film can optimize both serious and humorous side of life. The chemistry between all characters is superb and is based on real human interactions with the spectacular scenery of Greece instead of combined effects – how often do you see that in these days? Noting some of the negative comments, it is a bit of a joke “inside” than the travel agency and there are a couple of Greek tourist cliches and stereotypes of others. But all jokes are sensitive in all okay, my experience is, and anyone who has visited Greece echo ‘economy’ class! I would like to see this movie get to lease a bow before Oscar time this year and in any case, there would be any collection of films to be recommended as a good feeling / Date Movie.

Nia Vardalos is a beautiful and talented actors, supported by a magnificent cast (with more eccentric characters), and beautiful landscapes.
This is a fabulous story. . . Who can not identify to be frustrated and burned with a job or others, or life in general? Who can not benefit from any release of their cynicism and someone will find the way back to enjoy their lives again?
This is a funny and romantic comedy with heart and I loved it. I think “consciousness” was a great word to describe it. I have seen time and time again, and I finally bought the DVD.
Do not know if you enjoy it, I think that the problem is yours. . .
